Growing up, I had never planned to become an adviser in risk assurance.

But life has its own plans, and they’re often shaped by experiences we could never foresee.

I want to share a personal story that goes to the heart of why Avanti Financial exists—a story about loss, resilience and a mission to give other families the security mine found in our hardest moments.

When I was 25, I lost my mother to cancer.

That journey was heartbreaking and overwhelming, filled with the weight of knowing what was coming.

But amid the grief, there was a relief we hadn’t anticipated: my mother’s trauma insurance policy.

This policy covered expenses and gave us the gift of time.

Time to focus on each other, make lasting memories, and hold on to what mattered, instead of worrying about mounting bills.

Witnessing the power of that policy—the comfort and peace it provided during an incredibly painful time—sparked something in me. I wanted other families to feel that same sense of security and peace of mind, to know that when life turns upside down, they have a foundation to stand on.

That’s why I started Avanti Financial. I wanted to offer families support, stability and a path forward when they need it most.
